In three seasons at OSF: Dr. Pinch, Luce , Ensemble in The Comedy of Errors; Madame in The Unfortunates; Helita, Ensemble in Party People by UNIVERSES. A founding member of UNIVERSES, Ruiz-Sapp is a playwright, actor and vocalist. 

Other theatres: Party People (The Public Theater, Berkeley Repertory Theatre); The Denver Project (Curious Theatre Company); One Shot in Lotus Position (The War Anthology, Curious Theatre Company); Blue Suite, Rhythmicity (Humana Festival); Slanguage (New York Theatre Workshop); The Ride (playwright/actor); Alfred Jarry’s UBU: Enchained (Teatr Polski in Poland). Toured with Jazz at Lincoln Center: The Rhythm Road Tour. 

Awards/affiliations: 2008 TCG Peter Zeisler Award; 2006 Career Advancement Fellowship (Ford Foundation) through Pregones Theater; 2002–2004 and 1999–2001 TCG National Theatre Artist Residency Program Award; BRIO Awards (Bronx Recognizes Its Own); cofounder of The Point; board member of National Performance Network; former board member of Network of Ensemble Theaters; New York Theatre Workshop Usual Suspect.
