Ronnie’s most recent credits include IVP’s production of In Search of Said Abu Al Naga at Victory Gardens Theatre, co-composer and musician in The White Snake at OSF and Berkeley Rep Theatre, actor and musician in The Arabian Nights at Arena Stage, Berkeley Rep and Lookingglass theatres, musician in The Band’s Visit at Playwrights Horizons, Hephaestus and Mirror of the Invisible World at the Goodman theatre, and composer for the films At the Gate and Modou: The Hang Player. Ronnie is a faculty member at the Old Town School of Folk Music and Chicago Academy for the Arts and performs with the music groups Duzan Ensemble, Lamajamal, Mucca Pazza and the University of Chicago Middle East Music Ensemble.

Ronnie Malley on Community: Ronnie is a musician and educator of global music traditions. His original adaptation The Oud, Ziryab, and Andalusia will be storytelling through song and narration about the history of music and instruments from the Mid East, North Africa, and Andalusia (Southern Spain). Interwoven with music, poetry, and historic anecdotes, the story will be entertaining for all ages, as well as anyone interested in music, history, Mid Eastern and cultural studies.
