David Glen, Ashland, Oregon and Mountain View, California, has held a number of development positions in higher education. He retired in 2003 as Associate Vice President for Development and Director of Principal Gifts at Stanford University. During his 35-year career at Stanford, he also advised small non-profits on development matters. He served on the Foothill De Anza Community College Foundation Board. Following his official retirement, he continued to consult as a senior advisor to the Office of Medical development and the Hoover Institution at Stanford until 2011. A graduate of Stanford with an AB in Economics, he also did graduate work in Business Administration at Santa Clara University. He and his wife, Kathy Esslinger, moved to Ashland in 2003 and have enjoyed coming to OSF activities since the mid-1990. Dave and Kathy have two sons and three grandchildren, all of whom reside in the Bay Area. They are also actively involved with showing and training Portuguese Water Dogs and roaming the country in their motor home.
