Walter L. (Wally) Weisman, Los Angeles, California, is former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of American Medical International, Inc. (AMI). He joined AMI in 1972, was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in 1976, elected President in 1979 and Chief Executive Officer in 1985. He was named Chairman of AMI’s Board of Directors in January 1988, having been a member of the Board from 1975. He is a trustee and Chairman of the Board of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and Trustee and Chairman of the Board of the Sundance Institute. Wally is also a past chairperson and now a life trustee of the Board of Trustees of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. He is a senior trustee of the Board of Trustees of the California Institute of Technology and a member of the Institute’s oversight committee for the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. He is a director of Occidental Petroleum Corporation (Los Angeles), and Fresenius Medical Care (Frankfurt, Germany). He received his Bachelor and law degree from Stanford University Law School. Wally and his wife Sheila have three children (all Stanford graduates) and five grandchildren. Wally has been a long-time supporter of OSF, having served on the Board previously from 1996 – 1999. He consistently visits the Festival and saw all 12 plays in 2012.
