Efren Delgadillo, Jr. is a Mexican-American Scenic Designer born and raised in East Los Angeles. Recipient of Henry awards for Denver Center productions of In The Upper Room and Quixote Nuevo. Recipient of a LA weekly award for both Production Design and Lighting design for Poor Dog Group’s Brewsie and Willie. Nominated for an Ovation Award in Best Scenic Design for Culture Clash’s Bordertown Now as well as a Barrymore Award in Outstanding Scenic Design for Bienvenidos Blancos with Team Sunshine Corporation. Recent projects: Quixote Nuevo (South Coast Rep). Twilight: Los Angeles, 1992 at Mark Taper, I’m not your Perfect Mexican Daughter (Seattle Rep), I Scene With Cranes (Cal Arts Center for New Performance), and many more notable regional works. MFA in Scenic Design from California Institute of the Arts and a BFA in Studio Arts from University of California, Irvine. Head of Scenic Design at UC Irvine.
