Other credits: Publications: Has published 11 books and numerous articles, including The King and I (Arden). Teaching: Professor and Chair of English at California Jazz Conservatory, visiting professor at the University of California, Santa Cruz. 

Recent awards: HAAS grant for her Oakland Schools liaison project, Making Shakespeare Real and Relevant (2016, 2017), and co-awarded a Bly Award for Innovation in Dramaturgy from the Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of the Americas (2014).
