Actor Robin Goodrin Nordli talks about her week at Ten Chimneys with mentor Alan Alda
From July 21-28, 2013, Oregon Shakespeare Festival actor Robin Goodrin Nordli retreated toTen Chimneys, the National Historic Landmark estate of Broadway legends Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne, in Genesee Depot, Wisconsin (just outside of Milwaukee).
She was one of 10 stage actors in the United States selected as a 2013 Lunt-Fontanne Fellow, and the group of seasoned actors worked with Master Teacher Alan Alda, an Academy Award nominee, six-time Golden Globe winner and five-time Emmy Award winner. Mr. Alda focused on spontaneity on stage, and in this brief video Robin shares some of her experiences at Ten Chimneys.
Robin is the fourth OSF actor who has been selected as a Fellow. In 2009, the inaugural year of the program, Dan Donohue was selected. Jack Willis was a participant in 2010, nominated by American Conservatory Theatre, and in 2011, Vilma Silva was selected to participate.
