CLASSES FOR PLAYGOERS
A wonderful way to fully immerse yourself in the OSF experience! Spend a weekend or more with fellow theatre lovers while exploring one or more plays in depth. All classes include:
- Class sessions taught by theatre artists and scholars
- Lively presentations and lectures
- Opportunities to hear from company members
Class prices include a "class-only" option if you prefer to purchase your own tickets or attend the plays at another time.

PLAYS IN CONVERSATION: The Taming of the Shrew and My Fair Lady

This weekend class compares the two favorites side by side, discovering parallels and contrasts in these battles of the sexes written 300 years apart. WAKE UP WITH SHAKESPEARE FOR FAMILIES: An Intergenerational Session June 28 - 30; three days, four plays
Make theatre a family experience! Discover the joys of the stage and Shakespeare in this class especially designed for families with children aged 12 and up. Explore a unique selection of plays in the 2013 season in on-your-feet workshops, interactive classes and lively discussions. Class fee includes tickets to My Fair Lady, The Heart of Robin Hood, The Taming of the Shrew, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and one Festival Noon event. ($425 adult, $339 youths 12 – 17.)

SHAKESPEARE COMPREHENSIVE July 10 - 14; five days, four plays

An in-depth study of the Shakespeare plays in the 2013 season taught by a scholar. Class and play tickets to The Taming of the Shrew, Cymbeline, King Lear, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and two Festival Noon events, $520; class only, $255. UNFOLDING: The Tenth Muse
August 17 - 18
The Tenth Muse is a weekend class that focuses on Tanya Saracho's world premiere set in an 18th-century convent in colonial Mexico where young nuns and servants unearth a hidden play by Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz. Class sessions will be led by a scholar, and will include class visits from OSF company members. Class and play ticket to The Tenth Muse, $180; class only, $125. Tickets to A Streetcar Named Desire and The Taming of the Shrew are also available at an additional cost.
