The living art of theatre can make a huge difference in the lives of students and their teachers.

Whether you are planning a visit to OSF or inviting us to your school, we offer a variety of ways to support you and reach your students. Our offerings include workshops, classes, curriculum, school visits, special programs for local schools and opportunities for your own enrichment.


CLASSES FOR TEACHERS & EDUCATORS

Recharge and gain new techniques for teaching Shakespeare by participating in one or more classes at OSF. Attend and exchange ideas with other teachers and learn strategies for making great literature come alive for your students.



INSIDE SHAKESPEARE:  The Taming of the Shrew and King Lear           March 1 - 3

20110305_Teachers_0014 Provides strategies and practical lessons to teach one of Shakespeare’s early comedies and lessons for teaching one of his greatest tragedies. Includes tuition for a day and a half of class sessions, tickets to The Taming of the Shrew (Friday evening) and King Lear (Saturday evening) $270.

SHAKESPEARE IN THE CLASSROOM                                                       June 25 - 29

20100709_Teachers_0002This class is designed for English and theatre teachers and provides a theatre-based — rather than academic — approach, intended to make the works of Shakespeare exciting and accessible for all students. Active participation is required. The class includes tuition, tickets to five plays and one Festival Noon event. Housing and one or two units of graduate credit in English or Theatre Arts are available through Southern Oregon University, each for an additional charge. $810. Tuition assistance available.
