Remember OSF in your Will

Consider the Gift of a Lifetime to honor a lifetime of memories.

ADVANCING THE TRADITION, INVESTING IN THE FUTURE
RazzleWhen asked to share his greatest dream, OSF founder Angus Bowmer responded that his dreams could not be so easily summed up because they were always growing, changing and expanding.  To honor Angus and his dreams, in 1966, the Oregon Shakespeare Festival created the Endowment Fund. While this was a bold move at the time, it was the right one. Today, the OSF Endowment Fund is among the largest in American nonprofit theatre.

IMPACT

In 2012, the Endowment Fund's value is nearly $29 million and provides over $1 million in support of the season. This gift comes to the Festival directly from visionary dreamers like you – our greatest fans.

We hope that you will consider dreaming a little more with us, and name OSF as a beneficiary in your estate plans. We would like to be a part of your legacy.

Think of the time and effort you put into planning your trip to the Festival each year. The trip is important to you and so is the Festival. We encourage you to take a moment of that time to meet with our Development team, to see if a planned gift would work for you as a way to ensure that the Festival will continue to grow, change and expand – just as Angus Bowmer dreamt it would.

Please visit the Oregon Shakespeare Festival's Planned Giving website to explore the ways to contribute and include OSF in your estate plans:

  • The Endowment Fund – The OSF Endowment Fund is a registered 501(c)(3) corporation, separate from the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, which is also a registered 501(c)(3) corporation.  The Endowment Fund is overseen by a seven-member Board of Trustees and is linked to the support of OSF by binding agreements.
  • The Southampton Society – Those who make planned gifts to OSF are recognized as members of the Southampton Society. Named for the Earl of Southampton, William Shakespeare’s patron, the Southampton Society honors all who follow in the Earl’s tradition of support. Planned gifts include bequests, life estates, and trusts. Members receive recognition in publications and a special invitation to participate in the Southampton Society Event, which coincides with Shakespeare’s birthday in April. It is a weekend full of festive events, including lectures, great seats for the productions and a banquet hosted by the Development Team.
