Performing in the 2016 Green Show on Sunday, October 2 and Wednesday, October 5

This is their second season at the OSF Green Show.

Asian myths and folk tales told through kinetic storytelling theater.

Eth-Noh-Tec has performed on such notable stages as the Oregon Shakespeare Festival (Green Show), Smithsonian Discovery Theater, Wolftrap, VA, Presidential Inaugural Celebrations for both President Clinton and President Obama, and at the prestigious National Storytelling Festival in Jonesborough, TN.  They have also been featured on international storytelling events, festivals and delegations in India, China, Philippines, Singapore, Japan, and Bermuda. They have been initiated into the Circle of Excellence by the National Storytelling Network. Their work has also appeared on NPR’s “All Things Considered,” and “Short Stories, Tall Tales” on PBS.  

Eth-Noh-Tec on Community:
Eth-Noh-Tec’s mission is to build cultural bridges that celebrate diversity, and create compassionate communities through Asian and Asian American stories that reveal our common truths. Essentially our art form, storytelling, builds and embraces community. Inherent in its form is the quality of empathic listening. Every aspect of Eth-Noh-Tec creativity and performance requires a deep connection to community- from the research of cultural stories from resources and connections within the Asian community, to the audience rapport we create, often bridge-building with communities different from our own. It is our intention that by celebrating our culture through art, that we strengthen better understanding between global communities East and West.
