Understudy: Achokayis in Where We Belong

Jen Olivares is a member of the Juaneño Band of Mission Indians, Acjáchemen Nation. Jen recently directed and choreographed Ajijaak on Turtle Island for their North American Tour, and has had the pleasure of directing Larissa Fasthorse’s Thanksgiving Play at Smith College before its Broadway run. Jen’s semi-autobiographical play with music was recently commissioned by Celebration Theater in Los Angeles for their Indigiqueer Identity Comission. Recent acting credits include: Regional: Where We Belong (Portland Center Stage); Between Two Knees, Manahatta (Yale Repertory Theatre); Oklahoma!, The Way the Mountain Moved, Off the Rails (Oregon Shakespeare Festival).
