Preston Butler III is a teaching artist who engages in acting, directing, writing, and music. He has performed at multiple Tony-award-winning theaters (Mark Taper Forum, South Coast Repetory, Dallas Theater Center, Cleveland Playhouse) as well as internationally in France, Belgium, and Scotland. Preston is excited to return to OSF after his debut in Confederates directed by Nataki Garrett and is elated to work with Artistic Director Tim Bond again as well. Their previous collaboration resulted in Butler winning Best Actor when he starred as "Kitch" in the West Coast Premiere of Pass Over at ACT Seattle. He made his screen debut on NCIS and has played the likes of Muhammad Ali, Malcolm X, and Sammy Davis, Jr. Preston holds an MFA in Acting from CalArts and is currently an adjunct professor at Biola and Vanguard University.
