Charlotte retired from Boeing in 2007 after almost 22 years, with assignments that included Manager - Intelligent Sensors & Sensor Fusion Group, Manager - AWACS Program R&D (led to $3/4 billon contracts), Airborne Surveillance Testbed Program and Technical Director, Chief Engineer of the $2.2B Airborne Early Warning and Control Wedgetail Program, and Director of Technical Strategic Planning of $9B Airborne Warning, Surveillance, Intelligence Division.
Before Boeing, Charlotte worked in research and development for Schlumberger and Hitachi and held visiting/adjunct professorships of Geology at the University of S. Carolina and Information Science at the University of Tokyo. Charlotte received her PhD in Math at Cornell and was initially a Fellow in Mathematical Logic at Cambridge University and a Research Instructor in Mathematics at MIT.
Charlotte serves on the Board of Seattle Repertory Theatre and the Advisory Council of ArtsFund. Past non-profit Board service includes ArtsFund, Asian Counseling & Referral Service (Capital Campaign Committee). Charlotte’s husband, Robert Porter, served 10 years as an OSF Endowment Trustee finishing as Secretary/Treasurer.
