Elizabeth Choy, MD, PhD, is a retired Seattle ophthalmologist, formerly an associate clinical professor at the University of Washington and recipient of multiple “Top Doctor” recognitions by Seattle Magazine and Seattle Metropolitan Magazine. Her volunteer work includes previous Board service at Seattle Repertory Theater, active participation in Washington Women’s Foundation (trust-based philanthropy), ophthalmology with Seattle-King County Clinic, physician stints with the Public Health Reserve Corps, and child care for four grandchildren. She is a graduate of Stanford University (AB), UCLA (MPH), and the University of Washington (MD/PhD Epidemiology). She has a life-long appreciation for live theater and its power to entertain, educate, provoke and inspire. Since discovering OSF immediately post college graduation, she and her husband (James Lobsenz) have been enthusiastic supporters and now have a second home in Ashland.
