Bob Speltz, Portland, OR, is senior director of community and public relations for Standard Insurance Company (The Standard) in Portland, Oregon.  He is responsible for The Standard’s corporate giving program and corporate foundation, employee volunteerism and public relations. Previously, Bob has held senior roles in corporate community involvement at NIKE, Inc., Nau and MCI Communications Corp. He has also held positions in marketing and fundraising at several national nonprofit organizations. Bob also serves on the boards of Literary Arts. He has served on several nonprofit boards where he has held leadership positions, including Our House, the Oregon Cultural Trust, Grantmakers of Oregon and SW Washington, Q Center and Equity Foundation.  Bob grew up in Minnesota where he earned a bachelor’s degree in English at Saint John’s University in Collegeville, MN. Bob and his husband, Dwight Adkins, live in Portland.
