Paul Christy joined the OSF Endowment Board on March 28, 2023 and was elected President of the Board at that regular meeting. Paul moved to southern Oregon in 2016 with his spouse, Teresina Christy, after living and working in the Washington, DC area for 40 years. He is a native of Buffalo, NY. Paul retired from the federal government in DC as an economist and C-level executive for seven federal agencies and the US House of Representatives. He traveled for the government to over 40 countries and was a member of the Senior Executive Service. In southern Oregon, Paul has taught history classes at Southern Oregon University’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI), and in 2022 was elected to OLLI’s governing Council, where he currently serves as Treasurer. Paul has been a member of the Board for the Rogue Valley Symphony since 2020, and will become Board President in July 2023. The RVS performs six Masterworks concerts each year at venues in Ashland, Medford, and Grants Pass, and supports music education at schools through the Rogue Valley. Paul is active in Rotary International, and serves on the Board of the Medford Rogue Rotary; he is also active with the Downtown Medford Association, which is implementing the Oregon Main Street program in the downtown Medford central business district. Paul has been a longtime patron of OSF, and he and Teresina have been attending performances since 1978. In 2019 Paul was tapped to be interim Executive Director at OSF and served in that position through 2020. He has a Masters in Economics from the University of Connecticut and enjoys improving his piano skills in his free time. He and Teresina have two children and two granddaughters and they travel frequently to the Los Angeles area for family visits.
