Assistant Director, Coriolanus
Anna Miles is a director of theater, film, digital, and immersive work and the founder of Beating of Wings: An Artist Collective. She’s thrilled to be joining the Coriolanus team and the initiative to reimagine classical theater for new audiences. Other recent theater projects include In the Green by Grace McLean at The Wayward Artist (Director), A Sad Tale’s Best for Winter (Writer, Director), a feminist adaptation of The Winter’s Tale produced with Noise Now at A Noise Within Theatre, and Our Town at the historic Woodland Opera House (Director). Anna was a member of the 2022 Kennedy Center Directing Intensive cohort, holds a BA in Theater from Northwestern University (where she created her first classical adaptation under the mentorship of David Catlin), and an MFA from Brown/Trinity. 15 years ago she attended OSF’s Summer Seminar for High School Juniors, where she saw the festival’s last production of Coriolanus, and she’s been trying to find her way back to Ashland ever since. A huge thanks to Rosa, Jonathan, and all the other amazing people behind this opportunity. Website: www.annajunemiles.com
