Margaret Starbuck is a theatre director and arts administrator based in Los Angeles. She recently directed Hamlet for Ensemble Theatre Company Santa Barbara and Henry IV Parts 1 and 2 for The Porters of Hellsgate. Other directing credits include: Leah Nanako Winkler’s Kentucky for Pomona College’s Theatre Department; the world premiere of Rosie Narasaki's Unrivaled for Boston Court Pasadena and Playwrights' Arena; and the world premiere Frankel & Bloom musical We Three Sisters and Shakespeare's Measure for Measure with Method & Madness Theater Co., a classical theater company she co-founded. She has directed new play workshops and staged readings for EST/LA, the Road Theatre, Occidental College's New Play Festival, UCLA, Rogue Artists Ensemble, East West Players, and Actor's Circle Ensemble. Assistant Directing credits include shows at Pasadena Playhouse, The Geffen Playhouse, LA Theatre Works, and the Getty Villa, among others. She served as Boston Court Pasadena’s Associate Artistic Director from 2020–2024. She is thrilled to be back at OSF after participating in the FAIR program as a carpentry intern in 2016!
