FAIR Assistant Director, Shane
OSF Debut! is a queer Xicano-Indigenous (Hñähñu) award-winning director, producer, and playwright from Pomona, CA, passionate about creating art for working-class communities. His directing credits include Voy camino de Belén, South Hope St by Aaron Higareda (Teatro Frida Kahlo), The Pirate Queen by Andrew Knopp (Broadwater MainStage), The Long White Line by Carlos-Zenen Trujillo (Lime Arts Productions), Knuckle Games by Erik Rodriguez (Victory Theater), Mexican Shoots Himself in the Chest by Stanley Santiago (California Repertory), No saco nada de la escuela by Luis Valdez (Salon Bellas Artes), and Bella Luna by Kristen Russo. He has studied at Mt. SAC and Cal State University, Puvungna (Long Beach), and trained at The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts as well as the National Theater Institute at The Eugene O’Neill Center. He likes to explore intersectional themes of the working-class families, immigration, and decolonization. His work has been produced by Teatro Toibingna, El Teatro Campesino, and Teatro Frida Kahlo. He is a Teaching Artist, Miranda Family Fellow, works for the Latino Theatre Company, and Artistic Director of Teatro Toibingna, Pomona based. Instagram:@migeangelopez
