Woodwinds, Once on This Island

Lorin Groshong’s primary musical instrument is the oboe, but she loves to play all of the other woodwinds almost as much. In Once on This Island, she is playing soprano saxophone, alto flute, flute, piccolo, and clarinet! Lorin grew up in Ashland, Oregon, where her foundational music educators were Raymond Weaver (oboe) and Sherril Wood (flute). This education was supplemented by her studies at Northwestern University and Southern Oregon University, where she has recently earned a Master’s Degree in Music Performance. Musical theatre experience: Head Over Heels (OSF, 2015), A Little Night Music (Camelot, 2020), The Hunchback of Notre Dame and A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder (Camelot, 2019).
