Amara Granderson (she/her) is an actor, teacher, singer, and writer, with proficiency in heightened text, content creation, and long-form improv. Granderson has offered her talents to the likes of Roundabout Theatre Company, Chautauqua Theatre Company, Classical Theatre of Harlem, Intiman Theatre, The Old Globe Theatre, La Jolla Playhouse, New York Philharmonic/Carnegie Hall, World Choir Games. She has collaborated with artists such as Steve H. Broadnax III, Jeffrey Seller, Bill Sherman, Andy Blankenbuhler, and most recently, Chloe Zhao. As a storyteller of the post-pandemic renaissance, she is most inspired by the art that comes out of discomfort and isolation.
