Euripides is considered one of the top three tragedians of classical Athens, along with Aeschylus and Sophocles. He is said to have written about 92 plays, of which 18 or 19 survive complete. They include The Bacchae, Medea, The Trojan Women, Hecuba, Iphigenia at Aulis, The Cyclops and Helena.
