The materials contained in this collection may include racist, sexist, and/or homophobic depictions, as well as other portrayals and storytelling practices rooted in prejudice and bias. These depictions and practices were wrong then and they are wrong today, and do not reflect the Oregon Shakespeare Festival’s values of inclusion, equity, and representation of the diversity of the United States and the world. However, these materials are presented as they were originally created as a record of the past because to do otherwise would deny that these prejudices existed at the time these plays were written and produced, and continue to exist today.
